If you want to be granted a higher love, you’ll have to come to understand the difference between conditional love and unconditional love.
Conditional love is the kind of love that’s contingent upon behavior, our own or someone else’s. As long as we act in accordance with other people’s preconceived notions of how we should behave, or they act in the way we expect them to, everything is Okay.
When you’re involved in a love relationship based on conditional love, it’s only a matter of time before you or your mate will act in some way that is not considered acceptable and love will be withdrawn.
Unconditional love is a divine gift, freely given, with no strings attached. This kind of unwavering love fills us with a deep sense of peace and joy and provides a solid foundation to build a life upon. Even under the worst of circumstances, we know our love can survive, since unconditional love fills us with heartfelt feelings of faith and hope. When we know that we’re loved unconditionally, we feel safe to express our true self and to become all we were meant to be.
God’s love for us is unconditional. When we love others unconditionally, we gain access to higher consciousness and become more Godlike everyday.
